GROUP A
Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Russia
By far the most simple group: Poland, one of the two hosting countries had a fortunate draw. Practically has caught some of the least credited teams of each pot. The eyes of the Polish leaders at the end of the long draw was definitely showing happiness about the opponents they are going to deal with.
GROUP B
Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal, Germany
What a tough group! Like they have done it on purpose: among the "group of death" described in the past days the Netherlands, Portugal and Germany were almost always included. One thing is certain: there will be fun.
GROUP C
Spain, Ireland, Croatia, Italy
Prandelli was showing a smiling face at the end of the draw: the coach wanted to face strong teams right away, and was satisfied. Spain? Sooner or later you have to face them if you really want to get to the top. The last match between the two saw the victory of the Italian team even though it was a friendly. Ireland won't watch, of course, they are there to say their own. They all better watch out to Croatia, a national growing and full of young talents.
GROUP D
Ukraine, France, Sweden, England
Two seeded teams and two inconvenient teams. England in pole position, with France , renewed and willing, immediately to the wheel. Ibrahimovic's Sweden and the Ukraine of Sheva should not be underestimated. Fabio Capello, however, smiles slyly: could have gone much worse for him in this draw.
